Your Majesty,
It is with great honour and admiration that I extend my warm and fraternal congratulations to Your Majesty on the occasion of your 58th Birthday and the 40th Anniversary of Your Majesty’s Accession to the Throne. I was deeply honoured by the gracious invitation to join in these important celebrations. It is therefore with sincere regret that urgent obligations within my office have compelled me to alter my travel arrangements at very short notice, preventing my presence on this distinguished occasion.
As I reflect upon the remarkable course of Your Majesty’s reign, I am reminded of your steadfast devotion to the preservation of Africa’s royal heritage, the dignity of traditional institutions, and the advancement of our continent’s people. For many years, Your Majesty has graciously extended your patronage to the United Africa Royal Assembly and the A-eTrade Group 125 Million Jobs Initiative, lending wisdom, encouragement, and moral authority to efforts that seek to strengthen African institutions and reaffirm the rightful place of traditional leadership in shaping our common future. Your Majesty’s leadership continues to inspire many across Africa who draw strength from your commitment to unity, cultural continuity, and African self-determination.
The Kingdom of Eswatini occupies a singular place in our continent’s history, and the legacy of Your Majesty’s Royal Household remains closely linked to Africa’s pursuit of dignity and renewal. History remembers with respect the visionary leadership of Queen Regent Labotsibeni Mdluli, whose support reached beyond the Kingdom in aid of Africa’s early liberation movements, and the statesmanship of King Sobhuza II, whose reign came to symbolise stability and the enduring relevance of African monarchy in the modern age. In that noble tradition, Your Majesty continues to uphold the sacred responsibilities of the throne with grace and distinction.
May Your Majesty’s four decades of reign, mark a distinguished era of completion, renewal. consolidation and transformation in the service of the Kingdom and its people. I avail myself of this opportunity to convey my continued appreciation for Your Majesty’s leadership and support, and to extend my good wishes for Your Majesty’s continued health, wisdom, and prosperity.
